“American Debt: the Myth and Reality of an Economy on the Brink”
We are most delighted to welcome Professor Leonard Burman, the Daniel Patrick Moynihan Professor of Public Affairs at the Maxwell School of Syracuse University.  Dr. Burman is an internationally renowned expert in tax policy and budget reform who has written widely about the looming debt crisis.  He has appeared on many recognizable programs such as the News Hour with Jim Lehrer and NPR’s Morning Edition.  Professor Burman has worked extensively both in government and with many other organizations and institutes devoted to understanding and managing public fiscal policy.  He will share his perceptions and insights of the current crisis with us, as well as what he believes government can do to move the nation forward.
